Refund Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for subscriptions and credit purchases made on DocLique. Please read it before you buy. By purchasing or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to paid subscriptions and to one-time credit packs, whichever plan you are on. The free plan itself costs nothing, so no refund arises from it.
2. Money-Back Guarantee
We want you to be satisfied with DocLique. If it is not right for you, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of the payment, as set out below. Credit packs work differently, and Section 3 sets out how. We cannot accept a request for a refund made after that window. Credits you have already spent cannot be recovered, because generating documents uses computing resources that cannot be undone. Section 3 explains the two situations in which we add credits back to your account anyway.
- Subscriptions — if you have not used any credits within 14 days of the payment, we will refund the full amount you paid. If you have used any credits, we do not refund the subscription.
- Renewals you did not intend — if your subscription renews and you meant to cancel before it did, contact us as soon as you notice, and in any case within 14 days of the renewal charge. If you have not used any credits since the renewal, we will refund that payment in full.
3. What Is Not Covered, and What We Do Instead
Some situations do not qualify for a refund:
- Credit packs — a credit pack is a one-time purchase. Once you have bought one, we do not refund it, except where the law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund.
- Technical problems — this means a fault on our side that makes the service unavailable to you. It is not a ground for a refund of money, and waiting for a fix does not extend the 14-day window. Our remedy is credits: if you are on a paid plan and the fault is not resolved within 30 days, we will add a month's worth of credits for your plan to your account. Where we do that, we do not also return credits for individual generations that failed during the fault. See Section 5 for how to report the problem to us.
- Failed generations — if a generation fails, we do not return the credits it used automatically. Tell us as soon as you can at [email protected], and we will look into what happened. If the failure was on our side, we will return the credits that generation used.
- Problems with your own files — if a file is damaged, password-protected, or in a format we do not support, and it fails to convert, the failure is not a fault on our side. Our Content Policy also prohibits using the service to get around the protections on files that are not yours.
- Not liking the output — AI-generated results vary from one run to the next, and we do not guarantee any particular result. Being dissatisfied with the content we generate is not, by itself, a reason for a refund.
- Price differences — we do not refund the difference between the price you paid and a promotional price offered later.
- Unused time after cancelling — when you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund the remaining part of that period. Except as required by law, the 14-day window described in Section 2 is the only period in which you can ask for a refund of a payment.
4. Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. When you cancel, you will not be charged again, and you keep your plan and any unused credits until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancelling is not the same as asking for a refund. If you cancel within the 14-day window described above, you can ask for a refund of that payment as well.
5. How to Request a Refund or Report a Problem
To request a refund, email us at [email protected] from the address on your account, and tell us what you are asking for and why. We may ask you for a little more information so that we can look into it. We will respond within 3 business days.
If your request is approved, we send the money back to the payment method you used. It usually reaches your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. We can only refund to the original payment method — we cannot send a refund to a different account.
Where we refund a payment, the remaining credits on your account are cleared and your subscription ends immediately. If you want to keep using DocLique, you will need to subscribe again.
The same address is also how you report a problem with the service. If a generation fails, or the service is unavailable to you, email us and tell us roughly when it happened and what you were doing at the time. We will look into it and reply within 3 business days. If the problem turns out to be on our side, we will add credits to your account as described in Section 3.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first — we would much rather sort it out with you directly. If you raise a dispute with your bank or card provider instead, your access to the service may be suspended while the dispute is being resolved.
7. Our Payment Provider
Purchases on DocLique are made with our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record for them. That means your payment contract is with the provider, and its own buyer terms also apply to your purchase. We review refund requests under this policy and work with the provider to return your money.
8. Your Statutory Rights
This policy is intended to supplement, and not to replace or limit, any rights you have as a consumer under the laws that apply to you. Nothing here excludes a refund or remedy that those laws give you.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. If we make a material change, we will email you before it takes effect. Other changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Changes apply to purchases made after they take effect. A change will not reduce the refund rights that applied to a purchase you had already made. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
