Turn a PDF into an editable Word document
Tables, headings, and layout are rebuilt as real Word content you can edit.
Up to 50 MB · PDF only · Your file is deleted 7 days after upload.
Free conversions run on a limited daily allowance, and a PDF with many pages can use all of it. For larger files, see pricing.
More than a conversion
The same document can be summarized, split into tables, or turned into a deck — all in the studio, by asking in chat.
Pull the key points and action items out of a long report, so the conclusion can be shared without sending the whole file.
Move tables into a spreadsheet you can filter and chart. Numbers arrive as numbers, not as an image of a table.
Turn the same document into a deck — one idea per slide, in a real .pptx that opens in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Fix a heading that came out wrong, or a table that shifted, by describing the change. The document is updated in place.
How it works
A PDF stores where things sit on a page, not what they are — so this file is worked out again, not copied.
Frequently asked questions
What do I actually get back?
A PDF is a container: text, tables, and images are positioned on a page, not stored as editable content. This tool rebuilds that content as a Word document, so paragraphs, headings, and tables can be edited the way you would edit any .docx file.
Which PDFs convert well?
- Text-based PDFs exported from Word, Google Docs, or a design tool.
- Reports and contracts with tables you need to change.
- Scanned and photographed pages, which are read with OCR before conversion.
- Arabic and Hebrew documents, which keep their right-to-left layout.
When will the result not be perfect?
A PDF does not remember paragraphs, so this is a reconstruction rather than a copy. Dense magazine layouts, fillable forms, and technical drawings can shift, and handwriting is not recoverable. If your PDF is a photograph of a page, the result depends on how good the scan is. For a document like that, the studio lets you correct the result by chat instead of starting over.
Is it free?
Yes. This page converts without an account. It runs on a limited free allowance that resets every day, and each conversion uses part of it — the longer the document, the more it uses. Your file is deleted 7 days after upload, and upgrading does not extend that. If you want to keep the result in an account, edit it further, or work across several files at once, the studio is the place for that.
Can I convert a very large PDF?
The free allowance is limited and resets every day, and a PDF with many pages can use up more of it in a single conversion than one day holds. When that happens the conversion stops and the page says the free allowance is spent — the file is not the problem, its size is. For large documents you need converted anyway, buy credits or upgrade to a paid plan.
