Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 13, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of DocLique. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocLique, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Content Policy, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy and Cookies Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The Service

DocLique is a document studio that lets you chat with your files and convert them between formats. We may change, add, or remove features at any time. If you are on a paid plan, we will email you before a change materially reduces what your plan includes.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. You agree to give us accurate account information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, please contact us at [email protected] as soon as you can so that we can help you secure it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service lawfully and in accordance with our Content Policy. You may not misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the files and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process and store that content, and to share it with the service providers described in our Privacy and Cookies Policy, in order to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features may require a paid plan. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly. Subscriptions renew automatically, and your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You will not be charged again after you cancel. Subscription fees are billed in advance, and refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will email you before the change takes effect so that you can cancel. A price change takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and if you keep your subscription after that, you agree to pay the new price.

7. Credits

Credits are what you spend to use the AI features of the service. A paid plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, granted for as long as your plan is active.

If you cancel your subscription, we keep granting that monthly allowance until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

You can also buy one-time credit packs, which are added to your balance. A credit pack is a one-time purchase and is not refundable, except where the law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund. Credits you have already spent cannot be returned to you, except as described in our Refund Policy.

We may also add credits to your account as described in our Refund Policy — for example, where a generation fails because of a fault on our side.

8. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DocLique and protected by applicable laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership rights in the service or its content to you.

9. AI Output

The service uses artificial intelligence to generate output from the content and instructions you provide. As between you and DocLique, and to the extent permitted by law, you own that output and may use it for any lawful purpose.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and it does not represent our views. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying it before you rely on it. It is provided for informational purposes only, and it is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

We do not use your content, or the output we generate for you, to train artificial intelligence models.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Output generated by the service may contain errors and should be reviewed before use.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocLique shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

We may also decide to discontinue the service. If we do, we will email you in advance, and it will not take effect before the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

You can delete your account at any time from your account menu. If you have an active subscription, it does not end when you delete your account: it is cancelled at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, so you will not be charged again. Because the account itself is deleted straight away, you lose the rest of that period and any credits you have not used. The email address on the account cannot be used to create a new DocLique account for 90 days after that. An account created with that address after those 90 days is new — nothing from the deleted account carries over to it. What happens to your files, documents, and credits when you delete is described in our Privacy and Cookies Policy and our Refund Policy.

When these terms end, your right to use the service ends immediately. The provisions that by their nature should continue to apply — including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will email you before it takes effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

14. General

These terms, together with our Content Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy and Cookies Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DocLique about the service.

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect, and the invalid part will be applied as closely as possible to what it was intended to achieve.

If we do not enforce a provision of these terms, that is not a waiver of it, and we may still enforce it later.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
